Inaugural ASRG Race Of Champions to Crown Ultimate Champion

The Australian Sim Racing Group (ASRG) is proud to announce one of the most ambitious and prestigious events ever staged in Australian sim racing history: the inaugural ASRG Race Of Champions, to be held on 11 December. Branded as ASRG’s night of nights, this landmark event will bring together the very best drivers from across the organisation’s three premier championships for a single evening of high-stakes, high-intensity competition.

17 May 2026

For the first time, the top five drivers from the Porsche, Dirt and V8 championships will compete against each other in a special 15-driver event. After proving themselves over a full season, these drivers will now battle for prize money, pride and the chance to become the first ASRG Race Of Champions winner.

One Night. Three Disciplines. Ultimate Glory.

The ASRG Race Of Champions is designed to answer one question: who is the best all-round sim racer in the country? To find that answer, drivers will be challenged across three distinct racing formats—circuit racing, dirt racing, and Rally X—ensuring that versatility, adaptability, and racecraft are rewarded above all else.

This is not an event where specialists can rely on familiarity alone. Porsche aces, dirt track stars, and V8 hard chargers will all be pushed outside their comfort zones, competing on equal footing in a format designed to level the playing field while showcasing the very best of each discipline.

The Road to the Final Ten

The night will begin with all 15 qualified drivers competing in short, sharp sprint races on circuits carefully selected to encourage overtaking and close racing.

From this initial phase, five drivers will be eliminated, leaving a final field of 10 contenders. At this point, the event shifts gears dramatically as competitors “delve into the world of Rally X”—a format that blends circuit precision with dirt racing aggression. This decisive stage has been specifically chosen to give both circuit and dirt racers the best possible opportunity to showcase what they do best, while still demanding adaptability from every driver.

By the time the chequered flag falls, only the most complete racers will remain in contention for the ultimate prize.

Prize Money and Prestige

Adding even more intensity to an already electric atmosphere, prize money will be awarded to the final top three drivers. With tangible rewards on offer for this one-night-only event, the pressure will be immense from start to finish. For the drivers, this is more than just another trophy—it is a chance to etch their name into ASRG history as the 2026 ASRG Champion.

With reputations and bragging rights on the line, fans can expect uncompromising racing, drama, and moments that will be talked about for years to come.

A Celebration of Excellence: Hall of Fame Night

The Race Of Champions will be further elevated by the inclusion of the second ASRG Sim Racing Hall of Fame, making the evening not just a competition, but a celebration of the people and performances that have shaped ASRG’s journey. The Hall of Fame will honour outstanding contributors and champions, reinforcing ASRG’s commitment to recognising excellence both on and off the virtual track.

This blend of elite racing and formal recognition ensures the event is as meaningful as it is entertaining.

Leadership and Vision

ASRG Operations Manager Brenton O’Brien believes the event is a major step forward for the organisation and the wider sim racing community.

“It’s great that we have come up with such a concept that highlights the best of what sim racing has to offer all on one night,”  O’Brien said.
“For the first time, we can pit the best dirt racers with the best circuit racers on what is the closest playing field we can produce. With some serious prize money on offer for this one-night-only event, you can be sure this will be an annual highlight for many years to come.”

Live and Unmissable

Fans won’t miss a second of the action, with the entire event broadcast live on Simspeed TV and Speedcafe. With expert commentary, comprehensive coverage, and all the drama of a winner-takes-all format, the Race Of Champions is set to be one of the most-watched sim racing events of the year.

Whether you’re a die-hard ASRG supporter or a casual fan of motorsport, this is a spectacle built for maximum excitement.
